Possibly some of the biggest shenanigans we have seen to this point in the Presidential Primary elections are getting attention of voters, celebrities, and of course Donald Trump. Donald Trump is accusing the RNC and the Colorado GOP of a rigged system and many Colorado voters feel the same way.
The Colorado State GOP Executive Committee cancelled the Colorado Caucus Straw Poll. Why? Because in 2012 the national RNC created a rule binding delegates of the Caucus results. The executive committee didn’t want their delegates to be bound and therefor, canceled the caucuses.
Nobody really knows the rules when it comes to the voters. But let’s get one thing straight right now. Just because you followed the rules, doesn’t make them right and now you have thousands of Trump voters in the state of Colorado that truly believe that the system was rigged to give Ted Cruz all the delegates. There are Ted Cruz supporters who feel the same way. No voter wants to win just because the tables have been tipped in their direction and whether you are a Trump or Cruz supporter, you want your vote to mean something.
In fact, it has got so bad, Steve House the leder of the Colorado GOP has been getting threats and phone calls in the thousands, and now there is a protest planned at GOP Headquarters in Greenwood Village on April 15th, “Tax Day”.
The Colorado GOP has made a huge mistake and Ted Cruz just missed his chance to win the presidency. Ted Cruz “the Constitutionalist”, should have stood up, thanked the delegates for their support and assured the people of Colorado he will represent them the best he can. Within days he should have denounced the Shenanigans and rules in place in Colorado as news stories started to pile up in a press conference and that alone would have proved he will protect our voting rights. Let’s face is, people have been waiting years to have their voices heard again on Obamas departure. Again, just because it was legal, doesn’t make it right.
The only poll on RealClearPolitics.com showing Colorado caucus polling preference showed Carson, Rubio, Trump, Cruz in that order as Colorado’s top choice. Ben Carson endorsed Trump, and Trump was ahead of Cruz to begin with. So why did all the delegates go to Cruz. Because they were un-bound delegates that could vote however they want because the caucus was cancelled by the Colorado GOP Executive Committee last year. It’s fair to say, nobody knew or understood what was going on because the process is so confusing.
Celebrity, Trump Supporter and internet and radio conspiracy theorist Alex Jones from infowars.com is sending his camera crews out on Friday from Texas to cover the April 15th protest of the Colorado GOP. Alex Jones has over 6 Million people to his website every month. Here is his entire show from yesterday which covered the entire story.
Within 48 hours, thousands already know about it. In fact, on one Facebook page alone, over 300 people have said they are going, over 1,100 are interested in going, and over 3,100 have been invited so far. There could potentially be thousands of protestors in Greenwood Village on Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at GOP Headquarters.
These type of tactics to control the vote is the exact reason why people like Trump, Sanders previously Cruz are winning in the first place. This is a lousy system in the state of Colorado and the voters are going to demand that the Colorado GOP gives it back and most likely some resignations or huge change.
As a person running on the constitution Senator Cruz, the voters don’t like what just happened. Now, you are going to have to deal with people who once supported you, now supporting Trump because their vote is more important than you winning the nomination even if they have supported you from the beginning. Any elected republican in the state of Colorado who supports this process without denouncing how ridiculous and bad for the voter it is, is playing with fire and when re-election comes around, many won’t forget what just happened.
