The 2016 Stock Forecast Worse Than 2015. We found an article that should raise some concern among investors.
One of the top articles on Marketwatch.com this week was an article by Wallace Watkowski ‘Wall Street’s forecast for 2016: Worse than 2015’s’.
This article features 10 major strategist firms and there previous and revised prediction for the S&P 500 for next year. The alarming factor is that most of their projections have gone down to levels that wouldn’t even top 2015 S&P 500 highs for 2015.
This is a long article but you can see the overview of the projections on the first page.
Another thing that we noticed was the one year charts on marketwatch.com. Everything but the NASDAQ is down as of 11:58 AM Mountain Time on December 28th 2015. We still have a few trading days this year but oil looks like it is not holding up again from its recent lows.
You have to go read Wallace Witkowski’s article on the forecast but if you have time, go to the home page of marketwatch.com and change the stock chart on the right side of the screen from 1 day to 1 year to see year ending charts for NASDAQ, S&P, DOW and Oil.
We are going to continue to watch and see if the market will end up in the green or the red for the year.
